Residents' Forum
As in previous years, an Intern and Resident Forum will be a part of the programme.
The Intern and Resident Forum is open to all of our young colleagues currently involved in clinical training programs within a university or another independent veterinary practice / clinic.
This forum will give them the opportunity to present the results of research projects or to share certain clinical observations with congress delegates (original cases or case series).
- Only papers that are submitted before the deadline on the server will be examined by the scientific committee.
- Authors will be notified about the acceptance (or not) of their papers during the month of April at the latest.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION – HOW TO PREPARE YOUR PAPER FOR SUBMISSION :
Each submission must include :
- The title of the presentation,
- The complete list of authors in alphabetical order (format : initial of first name and surname of each author),
- The name of the presentation's author will be requested when the paper is submitted.
As interns and residents, by definition, most often work in supervised teams, only submissions including one or several co-authors will be accepted. Therefore, please pay careful attention to the list of co-authors ; it should especially include any and all colleagues who supervised or participated in the research or clinical procedures associated with the presented case.
- The full address (including phone numbers and e-mail addresses) of each author
- The text (maximum 5000 characters, spaces included).
- For isolated clinical cases, we recommend using the following text format : introduction, case history, clinical exam, diagnostic procedure, treatment, discussion and conclusion.
- For research projects, the traditional text format (introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion and conclusion) should be used.
- For case series, either one of the two formats above may be used, depending on the size of the series and the angle from which the series is being presented.
- A bibliography is not mandatory but would be appreciated (please limit your list to the 5 most important references).
Loading your communication onto the server :
If you wish, it is suggested that you prepare your abstract first as a Word document.
After preparing your paper as a Word document, the only thing left to do is to copy it onto the server and finalize the format (font, font size, etc).
Special instructions will guide you through the various steps of loading your document onto the server.
If your communication is selected by the scientific committee, the text you submit will be used “as-is” in the congress proceedings booklet.
The presentations must not be over 15 minutes long--speaking time must be carefully respected.
In exchange for making a presentation at the Congress, you will receive :
- free registration to the congress,
- a free invitation (for one person) to the congress evening.
No transportation or hotel accommodation costs will be covered by the Congress Organizing Committee.
The organizing team would like to thank everyone in advance for enriching the upcoming Paris Congress with their abstract propositions. We are looking forward to meeting you.
